Yeah, that guy was useless. Just there to stir the pot and get people upset (because pissing people off = ratings).

I agree that skinny doesn't necessarily mean healthy, but on the flip side obesity certainly does indicate unhealthy. And I'm talking about obesity here, not chubby. It's not a black and white issue and there are lots of things to be considered but as a person who has to work hard to achieve/maintain any kind of fitness all my life, I resent the idea that 'it's hard' is supposed to be an excuse.

Ha! I have watched Dr. Phil exactly ONCE in about ten years and it happened to be this show. Also, fat vs. skinny debate is something that gets people more riled up than abortions o capital punishment.

fist of all, the guy? That trainer? Was a complete jask-hole and was only on the show to be antogonistic and make a fight, I am convinced. and I *love* me some Jillian Michaels. I've never actually watched Biggest Loswer, but her whole theory is that you need to be at peace with who you are to make changes in your life. Totally true. I love her.

People have too many opinions on this whole thing, I think. I mean, first of all, skinny doesn't define healthy, and health is not a one size fits all shoe.

Soooo true! It's the same as the seemingly logical argument not to get a big dog when you live in an apartment because it's not fair to the dog.
Milo, my 7 yo Shepard/Husky/mut mix (from the SPCA), has opened my eyes to the glory of dogs. Never had a dog as a child and consequently wasn't a dog person. Until I met Steve (and Milo).
When I first started taking care of her, I am amazed at her constant energy (she was about 18 months) and now she'd fall asleep every night around 8:30 and wake totally rejuvenated the next morning. Then I realized "This dog's onto something!"
But yeah, totally agree, people often take better care of their dogs than they do their selves.

I don't think anyone could argue that you gave Otis the best life a dog could ask for! He was always so happy and playful and definitely loved you to pieces.

Thanks for reading. :)

Well said. I am working on making sure that I get my day doses of the 3 essentials.

I'd like to think that I gave Otis a good life while he was with me.

I think he enjoyed hanging out with the Tars at the pitch....you guys tended to be a pretty good source of food and beers.

Looks like you guys have a great dog. I look forward to the pictures of him as he grows.

Thanks for sharing.
